We have thousands of hours invested in these mapping projects. While we all do this as a hobby and our maps have been made available to the GPS mapping community without charge, the internet unfortunately costs money.If you cannot find the maps elsewhere and would like to download maps here, please make a PayPal donation to help defray our costs. Kyushu Routable Installer

| Description: |
Rotweiler's Kyushu Routable Version 1.0 - coverage for Kyushu. This is the final work of Sochi Kenkyusha. He will be sorely missed by his friends as well as all GPS map-makers and map-users alike.
This is as far as Sochi got in his project to create an english language routable map of Japan. This map covers the entire Island of Kyuschu with almost all major highways named. This map is "navigation-ready".
While the map includes all (to the best of our knowledge) major roadways of Kyushu, it contains few POIs - these were to be added later. Unfortunately, Sochi never got around to finishing that aspect of the map.

Bali Indonesia MapSource Installer

Rotweiler's Bali Indonesia Routable Version 3.60. This map covers the entire Island of Bali, Indonesia. It provides full and accurate routing of the entire island.
The Bali map covers the entire Island of Bali. Version 3.60 of the Bali map continues where we left-off work 6 months ago. The map has a many new roads and POIs, as well as improvements to existing roadway alignments. More importantly, it includes City listings for cities previously dropped (Kuta, Sanur, Ubud as examples).
Thank you to all those who nagged us, provided constructive criticism (and provided routes and POI collections)!
This build was processed with the latest version of cGPSMapper resulting in much improved indexing/searching and in routing. We recommend you remove any previous installations of Rotweiler's Bali before installing this mapset as there have been some changes in how the map was processed. The map is not locked. | |

Rotweiler's Central Indonesia Routable Version 2.1. Since removing this mapset from the site and concentrating work on only the Island of Bali, we have had numerous requests for it. So...... we have updated the mapset and included the mnosty recent data for Bali.
This map covers Java, Bali and Lombok. It provides full and accurate routing (to the extent that the sources are correct) for all three islands. The original starting basis of the Java and Lombok portions of the map are from public sources (including MapCenter and navigasi.net) although heavily corrected and improved, with many new roadway alignments. For information on Bali, see above. The July 18sup>th build was processed with the latest version of cGPSMapper resulting in much improved indexing/searching. The map is not locked. |

Pakistan MapSource Installer

The Pakistan mapping project started as a custom map for a friend and was based on publicly-available data. It provided coverage of Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar and Wa, as well as some major connecting roadways/highways.
Well, as many things in life, the Pakistan mapping project has taken on a life of its own. First, contact with the PKmaps group resulted in permission from them to use their detailed maps of the major cities for which we are most appreciative (Thank you Kafie and Alias! You provided a great start). Then contact from two Pakistan-based GPS-users/trackers resulted in a huge windfall - "gold" tracks of many of the major highways, especially Highways M8, N85, N25, N35, N70, N65 and N5, as well as dozens of smaller regional roads in central and western Pakistan.
A huge thank you to Khan, and especially to Colonel **** (you've been promoted!!!!) for taking the time and effort to contact us and to provide us with your data!
Version 1.70 includers a large number of enhancements throughout the country, especially in the North where the Karakoram Highway is now complete through the Khunjerab Pass to the China border, as well as including a number of non-major rotes in Northern Pakistan (including some BEAUTIFUL and somewhat difficult 4-Wheel Drive routes.
If you are a GPS-user in or sinmply interested in the roadway system in Pakistan, we know you will find this mapset useful. It is accurate - no "guesswork" or "approximate" routings as available from an un-named major purveyer of maps. As always with Rotweiler-produced maps, the map is searchable and routable. Of course, we always appreciate routes, tracks, or POIs to further enhance our maps.

New IndoChina MapSource Installer

Rotweiler's IndoChina Routable Ver. 2.65-Fixed (Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam) - the single mapset covering all IndoChina. The "IndoChina" mapset covers all of Laos, Cambodia, and Vietnam. This series of IndoChina maps has substantial roadway improvements in all three countries. There are new roadways and roadway alignment improvements - especially in Western and Northern Laos, for which we thank the local authorities for not throwing our sorry butts into jail for "tresspassing"! The accuracy, number, and information about the type of border crossings has also improved.
A special thank you to Alex, Michael and all who provided POIs and routes. Without your assistance, our maps would not be possible.
Installing IndoChina Version 2.50 or higher R E Q U I R E S that you first uninstall any older versions of the IndoChina mapset (if present). The mapset is processed to be semi-transparent to work seamlessly with Rotweiler's map of Thailand. We also provide comments on road conditions and standards, including roads that are useable only by motorcycles and experienced 4-wheel vehicles.
Version 2.65 includes major roadway additions in Southern Laos. The mapset is also re-processed in a new format with the latest version of cGPSMapper with improved routing and recognition of turn restrictions! (Thank you, Stan!).
Please note that starting with Version 2, we have made changes to the highways naming system - we have adopted the National numbering as used by the Governments of Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam. While this MIGHT be confusing for some, especially for users of paper maps (which use a large variety of numbering/naming systems), this should end the controversy about "Why is your name different than the highways signs?".
A brief comment on the issue of highways standards. For anyone who HAS travelled in IndoChina (especially in Cambodia and Laos), it is no surprise when a MAJOR highway turns out to be a muddy, rutted "path", especially in rainy season. Again, we have used the National "standards" for determining the "quality" of a road. You are forwarned.
The mapset is processed to be semi-transparent to work seamlessly with Rotweiler's map of Thailand.
Please note that a draw error occured during processing of the original release of this map. If you previously downloaded and installed Version 2.65, we recommend installing this latest version. Thank you, Rod, for the 'heads-up' on this issue.

Rotweiler's Thailand South Tourist Edition Version 4.20 - This map covers all of Southern Thailand from the Malaysian Border to Ranong. The mapset is fully routable and searchable. The December 2009 Build has also been re-processed with the latest version of cGPSMapper for better routing and indexing.
Points of interest cover:
- accomodations (ranging from resorts to humble residences), entertainment, foot, as well as religious centers
- shopping and personal services (banks, salons, massage, post offices, banking
- while one hopes you never need them - Police Stations and hospitals/clinics
- travel POIs including automotive related shops, service/repair stations, travel and tour operators
- tourist Attractions including cultural and historical places, and geographical landmarks
Of course, the mapset provides help getting around - it includes the complete highway/street system and also labeling of the Mu Ban's to help you find your way to and through the "named" sub-divisions scattered throughout Thailand.

Rotweiler's All Thailand Routable Version 5.47 - The mapset contains all of the Kingdom of Thailand and has full search ("Find") functions for all Cities, Points of Interest and roads both in MapSource on your computer and on your GPSr. The Version 5 series of the All Thailand mapset includes numerous updates and improvements.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Thailand Version 5.47 is compatible with all versions of MapSource, including Version 6.13 to 6.15.7. We do N O T recommend using MapSource Version 6.14.1 as it contains a glitch which affects the POI "Find" function (in MapSource). If you currently use MapSource 6.14, please upgrade before using this mapset. Please note that Version 6.15.9 through 6.15.11 contain an unlock block that will not permit you to unlock our map of Thailand. If you have any of these versions installed, read this.
Thailand Version 5.47 has been completely recompiled routing using the latest version of the cGPSMapper compiler (THANK YOU, STAN!) which has resulted in much more accurate routing including no-turn intersections and more accurate routing through roundabouts. The map includes numerous roadway and POI improvements, corrections and additions in the following areas:
Chiang Mai
Chiang Rai
Nan
Ratchaburi, and
Lop Buri
including a substantial number of new off road and semi-off-road cycle and 4-wheel drive "roads", trails and paths.
This map is locked. We strongly recommend removing any previous VERSION of Rotweiler's All Thailand before proceeding with this install! If you are installing All Thailand over an existing previous VERSION (for example, Version 4.2) of All Thailand, a new unlock WILL be required. |
